What’s a Nice Christian Girl Like You, Working in Energy Medicine?

Energy work and Christianity aren't something that the usual person will connect together.  To many, the two concepts are a contradiction in terms.  Depending on the person, either Christians don't engage in what many term "New Age" practices and medicine, or else Christians are considered too uptight to even consider the topic.

I recently came across a quote by T. F. Torrance that I think fits the occasion:

"I do not believe that the Christian Church has anything to fear from the advance of science. Indeed, the more truly scientific inquiry discloses the structures of the created world, the more at home we Christians ought to be in it, for this is the creation which came into being through the Word of God and in which that Word has been made flesh in Jesus Christ our Lord. The more I engage in dialogue with scientists and understand the implications of their startling discoveries, the more I find that, far from contradicting the fundamental beliefs, they open up the whole field for a deeper grasp of the Christian doctrines of creation, incarnation, reconciliation, resurrection and not least the doctrine of the Holy Spirit. — T. F. Torrance, as cited by David W. Torrance: The Promise of Trinitarian Theology, 25

Newtonian physics exists in the world and affects the human body.  Trip on a crack in the sidewalk, and gravity will do its thing.  What makes us think that the human body is impervious to Quantum physics?

This is God's World.  If there is energy in it and the human body, then He put it there.  The only fear we have is in using it inappropriately.
